GDocBackup is an easy, free, open source program to make backups of documents created in Google Documents, which can be saved to a local disk. Each time you create a new document in Google Docs, GDocBackup is responsible for making a copy after checking that it's indeed a new file, or modifying an old one (something discovered by checking the creation date).
GDocBackup allows the user to create, edit and share text files from anywhere. To work with GDocBackup you must have an email account from Gmail. It's this account that will serve as identification at the time of running the program. Then you just have to set the output format of the documents, which can be DOC, XLS, PPT, etc.
Use GDocBackup to save your backups of Google Documents and also to copy everything you have stored on the Google server to your hard drive. You won't regret it.
